eJourney steps onto the stage, turning the page to a new chapter in Indonesia's education story. On December 18th, 2024, eJourney hosted its official launch at Petra Christian University, an innovative education ecosystem powered by AI and designed to transform Indonesian learning. StoryJourney, an essential component of eJourney, also celebrated this milestone. We share the same dream of changing Indonesian education, and offer a platform for teachers and students to write more valued stories of their journeys. Following the five-month successful trial period that empowered 326 institutions and over 3,000 teachers from around the country, eJourney is ready to deliver innovative, inclusive educational solutions.

In all, the introduction of eJourney was a high-profile moment to underline, among others, a number of educational novelties developed with StoryJourney. Over 150 people joined in person and virtually during the launch of eJourney: Revolutionizing Education. The event was opened with the signing of an MOU and strategic partnerships between eJourney and the 10 education partners hailing from different sectors. Among them were Majelis Pendidikan Kristen, Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia, ICE Institute, Ikatan Guru Indonesia (Bogor), Universitas Pradita, Dayalima, DesktopIp and Mocaas.TV, among others relevant collaborators. The atmosphere buzzed with anticipation as guests explored virtual booths, snapped photos, and networked before the event got officially started.


Felix Pasila, PhD, CEO of eJourney, opened the grand launch with a visionary speech. He pointed out the ecosystem's objective to bridge the gap between workforce demand and education needs.

One of the key highlights during the event was the demonstration of StoryJourney, one of eJourney’s flagship innovations, which included an AI-powered roleplay Q&A feature. StoryJourney was a handy tool in this regard, to help teachers craft engaging, narrative-based instructional materials with ease. This technology demonstrated how stories could easily be embedded to offer more personalized learning opportunities. Felecia, S.T., M.Sc., CEO of StoryJourney, who also attended eJourney grand launch event highlighting the importance of educating people to impart values. She stated that educating is only one aspect of education, and another is sharing values and life experiences with our students. This philosophy is at the heart of StoryJourney’s mission as well to help educators weave meaningful narratives into their teaching.


A panel discussion on the use of AI to enhance educational access featured StoryJourney as one of the main players in eJourney. Prof. Dr. Paulina Pannen, Director of the ICE Institute, and Prof. Eko Indrajit, Chairman of PB PGRI, was part of the panel that pointed to the advantages of AI in creating immersive and personalized learning environments. "Smart people using AI will only become smarter," said Prof. Eko. This idea leads back to our goal of using storytelling in AI-enhanced education. The event concluded with a group photo session of all guests, officials and partners. As a one of the eJourney ecosystem, StoryJourney remains committed to innovation and creativity in service of deepening the learning experience throughout Indonesia. Together with eJourney, we build a different educational space. Not just a change in education, but a future where each learner could afford personalized impactful opportunities toward a more inclusive and dynamic educational landscape.
